In space remote sensing, remote sensors used for information collection can be broadly classified into two categories: optical and microwave. Among them, space cameras or spaceborne cameras that use optical imaging as a remote sensing method are more commonly used. These are optical-mechanical instruments installed on space platforms that provide power, attitude stabilization, environmental control, and orbital support, working in conjunction with ground stations to photograph the Earth or space targets in optical bands (ultraviolet, visible light, and infrared) and transmit the information back. They integrate optical, mechanical, electronic, thermal, control, and information processing technologies.

On April 24, 1970, my country successfully launched its first artificial satellite, "Dongfanghong-1," becoming the fifth country in the world to independently develop and launch an artificial satellite. Since then, my country's aerospace industry has undergone decades of development, and satellite remote sensing has become one of the most direct and practical ways to transform aerospace technology into productivity.

With the continuous development of global aerospace technology, high-definition images captured by satellites are playing an indispensable role in people's lives. Using satellite imagery, people can better conduct urban planning and construction, address river and soil pollution, carry out earthquake relief, monitor agricultural pests and diseases, and conduct mineral exploration, among other tasks. Whether in national welfare, national security, or space exploration, satellite imagery has enormous potential.

Since 2015, as a major national strategy, military-civilian integration has entered a substantive practical stage. The aerospace industry, applicable to both military and economic development within the scientific field, has become a crucial link between the national economy and defense economy. Commercial aerospace has become a new driving force for the development of the aerospace industry, prompting it to gradually shift from primarily serving national needs to simultaneously serving society, and propelling the deep integration of military and civilian sectors in the aerospace industry.

Since 2014, my country's commercial space industry has developed at an astonishing pace, with a series of private space companies rapidly emerging and driving rocket launches onto a truly commercial path. With the continuous entry of numerous brand-name space companies, commercial spaceflight is now in a period of rapid development, characterized by fierce competition and a focus on excellence, becoming a crucial support for my country's efforts to build a space power and realize its space dream.

In recent years, with advancements in aerospace technology and launch capabilities, satellites have become increasingly smaller, their orbital altitudes have decreased, and their deployment frequency has increased significantly. Leveraging advantages such as standardization, modularity, low cost, short development cycles, and flexible deployment, the microsatellite industry has rapidly emerged, with an increasing number of commercial small satellite projects being deployed, officially ushering in the era of small satellites.

Today, my country's high-tech strategic industries, represented by its aerospace program, have entered a new stage of development. The four major launch sites located in Jiuquan, Xichang, Wenchang, and Taiyuan have become the cradle and crucial support for my country's aerospace industry. Among them, the Wenchang Space Launch Site in Hainan is my country's new-generation high-thrust carrier rocket launch site, holding a vital position and role in my country's aerospace system. In recent years, the construction of the Hainan Wenchang International Aerospace City, relying on the Wenchang Space Launch Site, has been accelerating. While serving the development of my country's aerospace industry and accelerating the construction of a space power, it is also integrating into a new development pattern, striving to create a new engine for development.
