Academicians Lead the Way, Dreams of Aerospace Development: Academician Tong Qingxi's Workstation Makes a Grand Debut at the 24th Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Conference with the "Xiguang Series" Quantitative Hyperspectral Intelligent Computing Constellation
On June 18th, the 24th China (Fujian) Cross-Strait Innovation Projects and Achievements Fair (hereinafter referred to as the "Cross-Strait Innovation Fair") grandly opened at the Cross-Strait Innovation Center in Fuzhou High-tech Zone. This year's fair focuses on three functions: supply of achievements, demand matching, and achievement transformation, and features nine exhibition areas, gathering cutting-edge scientific and technological innovation achievements to promote high-quality industrial development.

At this year's Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Conference, the Innovation Source Exhibition Area specially invited Academician Tong Qingxi of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the founder of my country's remote sensing technology, to participate in the exhibition with the "Xiguang Series" quantitative hyperspectral intelligent computing satellite air-space-ground integrated multi-field industrial application project.
During the conference, Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD comprehensively deepened industry exchanges and cooperation among industry, academia, research, government and enterprises, and built a multi-level resource docking bridge with the top remote sensing technology of academicians, and empowered the upgrading of the entire industry in Fujian with aerospace technology in all aspects.
01 Academicians lead innovation breakthroughs Decoding the forefront of the hyperspectral remote sensing industry
In the keynote speech session of this year's Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Conference, Academician Tong Qingxi, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the pioneer and founder of hyperspectral remote sensing technology in my country, delivered the first speech, sharing his insights on "Frontiers of Hyperspectral Remote Sensing and Space-Air-Ground Integrated Earth Observation Technology." Academician Tong explained the industry's cutting-edge technological roadmap, introduced his team's more than 60 years of research achievements in hyperspectral remote sensing, comprehensively showcased the multi-field industrial application projects of the "Xiguang Series" quantitative hyperspectral intelligent computing constellation, and highlighted the mature practice of hyperspectral intelligent computing satellite technology in Fujian Province for satellite source tracing and rural revitalization, clearly outlining the industrialization development path of space-air-ground integrated observation technology.

Following Academician Tong Qingxi's presentation, industry experts discussed data security, space computing power, and ecological monitoring in turn. The four reports were interconnected, covering the technological origins, data foundation, market trends, and industry implementation, constructing a complete logical chain for the satellite industry and providing top-level industry support for the market application of the "Xiguang Series" quantitative hyperspectral intelligent computing constellation.
02 Real-world case studies showcased Showcasing the multi-scenario application results of the hyperspectral satellite
During the case sharing session of the conference, CAS Xiguang Aerospace, as one of the six sharing units, presented practical application cases of hyperspectral satellites in agriculture, mining and marine fields, and comprehensively demonstrated the service capabilities based on the "Xiguang Series" quantitative hyperspectral intelligent computing constellation.

The "Xiguang Series" quantitative hyperspectral intelligent computing constellation includes general-purpose hyperspectral satellites + infrared monitoring satellites, dual-carbon monitoring hyperspectral satellites, and functional hyperspectral satellites (for ocean, agriculture, forestry, and minerals). Ultimately, it will form a large-scale hyperspectral intelligent computing constellation, constructing an integrated, fully autonomous space-air intelligent computing system that combines "sky sensing, sky data, sky computing, and sky application." This will enable real-time on-orbit processing and efficient application of hyperspectral data, driving the industry to leap from "sky sensing and ground computing" to "sky data and sky computing."
Combining the local industrial characteristics of Fujian, the "Xiguang Series" quantitative hyperspectral intelligent computing constellation can be applied to scenarios such as marine aquaculture monitoring, forest ecological protection, modern agricultural planting, and mine ecological restoration, providing high-precision aerospace data support for regional governance and rural revitalization.
03 Industrial Park Inauguration + Industrial Initiative Release Deepening cooperation agreement to jointly build Fujian's satellite industry ecosystem
During the conference, the Fujian Satellite Application Industrial Park was officially unveiled. The subsequent release of the Fujian Satellite Application Industry Development Initiative became one of the highlights of the event. Initiated by Fujian Satellite Data Development Co., Ltd., this initiative brought together 51 industry chain entities from Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Xi'an, Fujian, and other locations, covering the entire chain including satellite manufacturing, data operation, application scenarios, fund investment, and industry-academia-research collaboration. Twenty representative units jointly launched the initiative, and all parties will work together to build a virtuous cycle of "technology + capital + application scenarios" in the industry ecosystem.
As a representative enterprise in the satellite industry, Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD participated deeply in this series of ecosystem co-construction activities. On the afternoon of June 18, Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD and Fujian Satellite Data Development Co., Ltd. held a closed-door symposium and strategic signing ceremony. The two parties conducted in-depth closed-door exchanges on satellite data services, industry scenario implementation, and joint construction of industrial platforms, and signed a strategic cooperation agreement. They will work together to improve the local satellite remote sensing industry chain in Fujian, promote the large-scale service of aerospace data to the industrial development of various parts of the province, and establish long-term in-depth industrial cooperation.

04 In-depth exchanges throughout the exhibition period Exploring New Opportunities for Cooperation in the Aerospace Industry
This year's Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Conference (OCEC) Innovation Source Exhibition Area has a dedicated booth for Academician Tong Qingxi's project. With the theme of "Academician Leadership, Space Dream Building - CAS Xiguang Aerospace Remote Sensing Empowers Industry Innovation", the exhibition focuses on six main lines: "Academician Leadership - Technological Breakthrough - Satellite Networking - Industry Application - Data Assetization - Ecosystem Co-construction". It showcases the complete industrialization solution of the "Xiguang Series" quantitative hyperspectral intelligent computing constellation integrating space, air and ground.
