During the event, the "Chengdu Talent Cup" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Award Ceremony was held. In the 2023 "Chengdu Cup" High-level Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition held on April 16, 2023, the "108 Satellite Constellation Project" of Xi'an Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD Technology Co., Ltd. stood out from 60 projects that entered the final and won the first prize in the final with its outstanding scientific and technological innovation strength and superior market application prospects.

The "Chengdu Talent Cup" competition, spearheaded by the Chengdu Municipal Committee Talent Work Leading Group Office, is a high-level platform for innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as exchange and cooperation, established by Chengdu for innovative and entrepreneurial talents, entrepreneurs, and investors. The competition comprises four tracks: Industry Chain Building and Strengthening, Doctoral and Postdoctoral Research, "Chengdu Talent Plan" Team, and Overseas Talent, with eight awards. As the largest and most comprehensive global innovation and entrepreneurship competition in Chengdu, this year's competition, launched in December 2022, attracted 1,166 projects from 76 major domestic cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, and Hangzhou, as well as 17 countries including the UK, France, the US, and Germany. She also explained the expansion and future implementation plans of the Zhongke Xiguang 108-satellite constellation project in various fields in Chengdu from the perspective of satellite application, taking into account the city's resources and industrial development.

The 108-satellite constellation project of Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD is a commercial integrated remote sensing microsatellite constellation system independently designed, developed and operated by Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD. Once completed, it will become the largest and most comprehensive hyperspectral remote sensing constellation in China, fully meeting the future large-scale satellite application needs of Chengdu and even the Southwest region, further promoting the integrated development of satellite applications in the air, space, and ground, providing more useful, easy-to-use and practical satellite data services for users in the Southwest, while improving and enhancing Chengdu's aerospace attributes and promoting the development of the entire industrial chain of local commercial aerospace.
