In 2020, the city's aerospace industry output exceeded 100 billion yuan, with a growth rate exceeding 10%, laying a solid foundation for Xi'an's GDP to cross the trillion-yuan mark.

Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD Technology Co., Ltd., under the strategic guidance of the Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics (XIOPM) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), responds to the national strategic call for commercial aerospace, takes major national projects as its driving force, and serves as the overall satellite unit, fully leveraging XIOPM's advantages in satellite payload demonstration and engineering. Utilizing XIOPM's own aerospace technology advantages, it has achieved significant breakthroughs in lunar deep space exploration, manned spaceflight, and space science; leveraging its advantages in payloads such as star sensors, hyperspectral cameras, infrared cameras, and ultraviolet cameras, it has innovatively proposed a micro-nano satellite constellation system using commercial and market-oriented methods. Simultaneously, it proposes to operate the system through commercial and industrial means, forming a joint development model of the institute's overall technology and the company's overall industrial platform, planning a commercial aerospace small satellite operation platform, and striving to build a commercial aerospace brand within the XIOPM system.
