The China Space Congress is dedicated to building an international and professional exchange and cooperation platform in the aerospace field. Held annually during the "China Space Day" activities since 2018, it has been successfully held six times in Harbin, Changsha, Fuzhou, Nanjing, Haikou, and Hefei. For five consecutive years, it has been included in the China Association for Science and Technology's guide to important academic conferences, playing a positive role in promoting aerospace academic exchange, industry-academia-research collaboration, and the inheritance of the aerospace spirit and culture. In addition to the exhibition, this year's congress also features five forums covering academic, industry, education, popular science, and culture, with themes covering cutting-edge fields such as aerospace variable-structure flight technology, aerospace control, space science and experimentation, and aerospace medical engineering and space biology.

This conference was jointly hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the China National Space Administration, and the Hubei Provincial People's Government, and organized by the Wuhan Municipal People's Government and Wuhan University. It invited well-known experts, scholars, and managers in the aerospace field from home and abroad to discuss the new pattern of aerospace development, comprehensively showcase cutting-edge aerospace technologies, and widely promote in-depth cooperation in the world's aerospace industry.

On the morning of April 23, the 2024 China Space Day & Space Industry Achievements Exhibition opened concurrently at the Wuhan National Expo Center.Xi'an Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD Technology Co., Ltd. was invited to attend this exhibition, showcasing its advanced technological achievements in business development, constellation layout, ground systems, and satellite applications. As the only domestic commercial aerospace company that has independently developed a hyperspectral satellite constellation, Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD received widespread attention from government leaders and business representatives at the event.In-depth exchanges and communication were conducted with government leaders, experts from research institutes and high-quality exhibitors from all over the country on topics such as technological innovation, industry development and collaborative cooperation in the commercial aerospace industry, laying a good foundation for future multi-party cooperation.

CAS Xiguang Aerospace was invited to attend the International Forum on Commercial Aerospace Industry

Meanwhile, as one of the important activities of "China Space Day", the International Forum on Commercial Space Industry of China Space Conference, hosted by the Chinese Society of Astronautics and the China Space Foundation, was held on the 23rd. The forum aimed to deeply analyze the connotation of my country's commercial space policy, explore the new situation and challenges, share the operation mode and market operation strategy of the commercial space industry chain, and build an international exchange platform, so as to build consensus and work together to improve new quality productivity.

Currently, satellite data is widely used in agriculture, forestry, natural resources, land planning, and marine monitoring. With continuous breakthroughs in related technologies, future satellite applications will not only expand in scope but also explore deeper developments. In this direction, the research and application of new payloads is of paramount importance. For example, the first high-resolution point-source methane monitoring microsatellite to be launched in China in 2024 by CAS Xi'an Optics & Lighting Co., Ltd. This satellite will not only monitor conventional greenhouse gases but also possess multiple functions, including methane emission changes and drift trends, carbon source identification, and regional carbon neutrality capacity assessment. It will not only further develop the in-depth application of satellite payloads in the dual-carbon field but also contribute to my country's ultimate goal of achieving carbon peaking and carbon neutrality by 2060.

In recent years, my country's commercial aerospace industry has moved from its initial stage to a period of rapid development, becoming a crucial support for my country's transformation from a "space power" to a "space superpower" and injecting new momentum into the accelerated development of new productive forces. The surge in market demand has spurred more application scenarios for commercial aerospace that are closely integrated with daily production and life. At this event, CAS Xi'an Aerospace, together with participating experts, scholars, business managers, and industry professionals, discussed the future development trends, challenges, and solutions of commercial aerospace, focusing on advanced domestic and international commercial aerospace technologies and concepts. Through exchange, integration, and innovative exploration, they jointly contribute to the new journey of my country's commercial aerospace industry towards openness, popularization, diversification, and internationalization.

In the future, CAS Xiguang Aerospace will continue to focus on research in the field of hyperspectral remote sensing technology, give full play to its new technological advantages, fully stimulate new industrial momentum, and rapidly advance the design, research and development and manufacturing of a series of hyperspectral remote sensing satellites, including XIGUANG-004 (methane monitoring satellite), XIGUANG-005 (precision agriculture satellite), XIGUANG-006 (mineral monitoring satellite), and XIGUANG-007 (high-resolution precision agriculture satellite), contributing inexhaustible strength to the long-term prosperity and sustainable development of my country's aerospace industry.
