Land desertification

In 1995, my country established a Desertification Monitoring Center, which uses satellite remote sensing technology and is supported by GIS, GPS and modern communication methods to regularly forecast and predict the trend of land desertification, and proposes various countermeasures for desertification prevention and control.

In addition, numerous domestic and international cases have shown that remote sensing monitoring can play a vital role in disaster prevention and mitigation, such as typhoons, tornadoes, deforestation, frost, soil erosion, marine oil spills, and earthquakes, thereby improving rescue rates and making a significant contribution to disaster prevention and mitigation.
