January 9, 2023

At 13:04 on January 9, 2023, the "Xiamen Science and Technology No. 1" XIGUANG-003 satellite, independently developed by CAS Xiguang Aerospace, was successfully launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center aboard the "Ceres-1" Y5 carrier rocket, achieving a new breakthrough for CAS Xiguang Aerospace in commercial launches.

August 10, 2023

At 12:03 PM on August 10, 2023, five satellites of the Xiguang-1 series were successfully launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center aboard a Ceres-1 Y7 carrier rocket. This batch of satellites represents the first time in China that several technologies have been achieved and that these satellites have been put into on-orbit application, which is of great significance for promoting technological innovation in my country's commercial aerospace industry.

The innovative technology of "integrated satellite" was first proposed and successfully applied to the "Xiamen Science and Technology No. 1" XIGUANG-003 satellite, which significantly reduced the overall satellite mass to 50Kg and achieved several of the highest domestic indicators for hyperspectral satellites of this size.

August 10, 2023

The first domestically developed ultra-lightweight and compact hyperspectral imager adopts APHIS high-performance ultra-lightweight and compact hyperspectral imaging technology, with a spectral resolution of up to 1.4nm and the ability to acquire information from 300 spectral bands.

August 10, 2023

The infrared camera has achieved the first in-orbit use of innovative technologies such as a fully 3D-printed optical system and an all-aluminum calorimetric design in China, effectively reducing the difficulty of camera development and assembly, while significantly shortening the development cycle to within three months.

This optical switch represents the first successful on-orbit verification of high-speed all-optical network switching technology in China, effectively addressing the bottlenecks of existing on-orbit electrical switching technology. It offers significant application value in high-bandwidth data transmission, large-capacity switching, and all-optical networking.

It also won numerous influential industry awards and was featured in reports by several mainstream media outlets, including CCTV-4, CCTV-7, CCTV News, Shaanxi TV, and Xi'an TV. CAS Xi'an Aerospace is committed to becoming a pioneer, disruptor, and enabler of my country's commercial aerospace industry. Through continuous efforts and overcoming challenges, it has garnered recognition time and again.

March 2023

In March 2023, Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD attended the Xi'an-Qingdao Advanced Technology Innovation Achievement Exchange Conference. Qin Jing, the company's general manager, delivered a keynote speech on "Prospects for the Application of Hyperspectral Remote Sensing in Commercial Aerospace". The "Xiamen Science and Technology No. 1" hyperspectral satellite exhibit was featured in reports by many mainstream media outlets, including CCTV Evening News, Xi'an Daily, Shaanxi TV News, and Xi'an News.

In the 2023 "Chengdu Cup" High-level Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition held on April 16, 2023, the "108 Satellite Constellation Project" of Xi'an Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD Technology Co., Ltd. stood out from 60 projects that entered the final and won the first prize in the final with its outstanding scientific and technological innovation strength and superior market application prospects.

September 21, 2023

On September 21, 2023, the "Hyperspectral Remote Sensing Ecological Constellation" project of CAS Xi'an Optoelectronics & Aerospace was officially launched at the Xi'an Young Entrepreneurs Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum, becoming one of the two youth innovation and entrepreneurship projects released at the forum. CAS Xi'an Optoelectronics & Aerospace will use the forum as an opportunity to work with young entrepreneurs to promote innovation and entrepreneurship and contribute to the high-quality economic development of Xi'an.

October 26, 2023

At the 2023 Xi'an UAV Conference held on October 26, 2023, Xi'an Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD Technology Co., Ltd. became the only commercial aerospace company at the event to apply the innovative combination of satellite and UAV to the agricultural and rural fields. The lightweight hyperspectral imager exhibited at the event attracted widespread attention from leaders, exhibitors and guests from various industries.

December 12, 2023

On December 12, 2023, the first commercial methane monitoring satellite in China and the first satellite big data sharing platform in China—the CAS Xiguang Aerospace Remote Sensing Cloud Platform—independently developed by CAS Xiguang Aerospace, were officially launched at the Xi'an Satellite Application Conference. This will effectively accelerate the innovation and development of the satellite application industry and inject new impetus into the future development of remote sensing applications.

Deepen cooperation and promote win-win development

In this year, Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD gathered consensus and wisdom from all sides, and successfully launched the hyperspectral satellite data center and satellite manufacturing production line project in Anqing City, Anhui Province, jointly pioneering satellite applications in East China.

February 2, 2024

On February 2, 2024, Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD and the Anqing Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee officially signed a project agreement for a hyperspectral satellite data center and satellite manufacturing production line. The agreement outlines in-depth cooperation on four major areas: Anqing's first urbanized customized satellite, "Anqing Hyperspectral No. 1," a satellite full-industry company in East China, and a satellite integrated operation and control platform and satellite manufacturing base in East China.

December 2023

To further build consensus on development, in December 2023, CAS Xi'an Aerospace officially joined the Xi'an Satellite Application Industry Innovation and Development Alliance, becoming one of the first council members of the alliance. Together, they will form a joint force for development and explore the creation of an industrial cluster integrating Xi'an satellite applications from innovation and R&D to manufacturing and application.
