China's first point source methane monitoring satellite based on FP system

In light of current national policies such as sustainable development and dual-carbon issues, CAS Xi'an Optics & Aerospace has taken the lead in China by launching a commercial dual-carbon monitoring remote sensing satellite constellation plan based on ultra-fine spectral detection technology.The first domestic point-source methane monitoring satellite based on the FP system, the XIGUANG-004 satellite, was designed to monitor the concentration of major greenhouse gases.

As China's first high spatial resolution methane monitoring satellite that is fully comparable to Canada's GHGsat satellite, the satellite has attracted widespread attention from industry professionals and received focused coverage from mainstream official media in various provinces and cities since its launch.
