Striving for Space Dreams | CAS Xiguang Successfully Enters the Finals of the 2022 Zhuji City Overseas High-Level Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

During the competition held that day, Qin Jing, General Manager of Xi'an Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD Technology Co., Ltd., represented the company and competed fiercely with 15 key projects selected through multiple rounds of screening. In the end, four projects, including the Zhongke Xiguang 108 Satellite Constellation Networking Project, won and successfully entered the finals of the 2022 Zhuji City Overseas High-level Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, where they will compete with other winning projects from other industries.

The 108-satellite constellation networking project of CAS Xiguang is a commercial integrated remote sensing microsatellite constellation system independently designed, developed, and operated by CAS Xiguang. The entire constellation consists of 108 satellites. Once completed, it will become the largest and most comprehensive hyperspectral remote sensing constellation in China. It can provide global users with all-weather satellite remote sensing big data services and satellite application system solutions with high spatial resolution, high temporal resolution, and high spectral resolution. It will achieve ultra-high frequency image data acquisition and update capabilities, with a revisit cycle of up to 15 minutes for key areas around the world, forming a continuous monitoring capability for regional ecology. It will help various industries achieve precise decision-making, accurate governance, and refined management, ushering in a new era of satellite remote sensing applications.

Today, Xi'an boasts both aviation and aerospace industries, with its aerospace industry forming a relatively complete industrial chain and occupying a significant position in my country's overall aerospace industry layout. Holding this special competition in Xi'an aims to leverage this opportunity to attract talent, accelerate the development of a pool of high-quality talent projects, and empower Zhuji City to build an aerospace industry cluster.

These enterprises cover satellite measurement and control and R&D manufacturing, helicopter landing pads, new materials, bearings and bushings, springs and hardware parts, and a number of leading backbone enterprises in the aerospace sub-sectors have emerged.

The competition held in Xi'an will provide a broader platform for talent exchange between Xi'an and Zhuji.
