That afternoon, the research team watched a promotional video for Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD and visited its airport office and exhibition hall. During the visit, Qin Jing gave the team a systematic introduction to Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD's development history, business segments, product details, core technologies, and industrial layout. She also provided a detailed explanation of Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD's independently developed satellite products, application systems, and launch plans.

On January 9, 2023, the first city-customized hyperspectral satellite, "Xiamen Science and Technology No. 1" (XIGUANG-003), launched by CAS Xiguang Aerospace, was successfully launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. As a city-customized satellite for Xiamen, it received strong support from the Xiamen Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, Xiamen Torch High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, and the Jimei District Government of Xiamen. During this research and exchange, both sides held a symposium to discuss and plan the follow-up work for the satellite.

Su Guohui, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jimei District Committee, stated that the successful launch of the "Xiamen Science and Technology No. 1" XIGUANG-003 satellite is a significant achievement in Xiamen's scientific and technological innovation, and it has positive implications for Xiamen's efforts to improve urban quality and achieve high-quality development. Su Guohui pointed out that in subsequent data collection, firstly, it is necessary to fully leverage the advantages of hyperspectral satellite data through market-oriented and industrialized approaches, focusing on key deployments and precise adaptations in different application scenarios to meet diverse needs such as local governance, security management, and marine monitoring, further expanding the application scenarios of hyperspectral satellites, focusing on advantages, and forming brand leadership; secondly, it is necessary to actively utilize relevant resources in the industrial chain to form resource synergy and maximize the frequency of satellite data collection cycles and the quality of hyperspectral data services. Su Guohui expressed his hope that in the future, Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD will be able to build a more comprehensive constellation network, widely applying more efficient and accurate satellite data to various industries and playing a more important role.
