The 2025 Xi'an International Entrepreneurship Competition was launched, with Zhongke Xi'an Optoelectronics & Aerospace serving as the only representative from previous years to share its entrepreneurial experience.

The 2025 Xi'an International Entrepreneurship Competition officially launched on October 27th. This year's competition focuses on..."Gathering Wisdom in Chang'an to Create the Future"The event, themed "Competition for the Promotion of Scientific and Technological Achievements," was jointly organized by the Xi'an Municipal Science and Technology Bureau and the Organization Department of the Xi'an Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China. It aimed to accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and cultivate innovative technology enterprises through a new model of "using competitions as a means of evaluation, talent attraction, and investment promotion."

The competition features four tracks: Information Technology, High-end Equipment, Biomedicine and Big Health, and New Energy and New Materials, divided into two groups: Startup and Growth. The total prize pool reaches 10 million yuan. In addition to prize money, winning projects will also enjoy comprehensive policy support in areas such as talent, finance, and computing power.

At the launch ceremony, Qin Jing, Chairman of Xi'an Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD Technology Co., Ltd., the only invited company to receive the Grand Prize in previous competitions, shared the company's transformation from winning the competition to its current growth. Four years ago, Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD stood out from 454 participating projects worldwide with its "Small Satellite Constellation Business Plan" project and won the Grand Prize. Four years later, the company has successfully launched 10 satellites into orbit and is committed to building the largest hyperspectral remote sensing constellation system in China.

"This award is not only a recognition of us, but also the first lighthouse that guides us toward the stars and the sea," Qin Jing remarked during her sharing. Today, Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD has been awarded the title of National Specialized, Refined and Innovative "Little Giant" Enterprise, becoming the only commercial aerospace company in Northwest China to obtain approval from the National Development and Reform Commission for satellite constellation networking, and has been awarded the title of "Provincial Aerospace Chain Leader Enterprise," becoming the youngest industry chain leader enterprise in Shaanxi Province.

She stated that Zhongke Xiguang's development journey, as a high-quality enterprise that stood out with its satellite remote sensing technology, is a vivid example of how the competition empowers hard-tech projects.

It is understood that this year's competition has set up a "fast track to the semi-finals" mechanism, allowing projects that have received significant investment or awards in the past three years to directly enter the semi-finals. The competition is divided into five stages: project registration, preliminary round, semi-finals, qualifying rounds, and the final, and will continue until late November.
