Compared to traditional panchromatic and multispectral images, hyperspectral satellite remote sensing data offers advantages such as "integrated image and spectrum, and high precision and breadth," enabling more accurate monitoring of ground features. Based on the commercial integrated remote sensing microsatellite constellation system independently designed, developed, and operated by CAS Xiguang, it can provide global users with all-weather satellite remote sensing big data services with high spatial resolution, high temporal resolution, and high spectral resolution. It achieves ultra-high frequency image data acquisition and update capabilities, with a revisit cycle of up to 15 minutes for key global areas, forming a continuous monitoring capability for regional ecosystems, and providing high-frequency revisit monitoring of any target area across various industries.
For the reception and processing of hyperspectral satellite remote sensing data, CAS Xiguang independently designed a remote sensing satellite ground software application system to fully realize the functions of receiving, processing, managing, and distributing hyperspectral remote sensing images. According to the satellite observation plan, and with the satellite telemetry and control system providing telemetry and control support, it is responsible for receiving and recording remote sensing image data and auxiliary data transmitted from the satellite, performing image preprocessing and image application processing, generating image products of different levels and types, and interpreting, compiling, and organizing satellite remote sensing images to provide services for national economic construction and national defense.

The functions of the remote sensing satellite ground software application system are mainly divided into two parts: the receiving service system, which is mainly responsible for receiving and archiving downlink data (ground station); and the ground service system (processing system), which is responsible for data processing and archiving, as well as product production and distribution services. The ground software application system modules mainly include six parts: data receiving and scene segmentation module, data preprocessing, data management and scheduling, geometric correction module, radiometric correction module, and data archiving and management module, deployed on six computing nodes respectively. The data archiving and management node is equipped with a database and storage array. Each major module can be further subdivided into 12 sub-modules: data acquisition, scene segmentation and cataloging, data integrity detection, data preprocessing, relative radiometric correction function, spectral SMILE correction function, radiometric correction, geometric correction, data archiving and management, scheduling and data distribution, and image fusion.
