Cutting-edge technologies showcased, empowering the "Digital Silk Road"

The Silk Road International Exposition, themed "Silk Road Integration and Open Cooperation," focused on technological innovation and cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. Xi'an Xi'an Optics & Aerospace Technology Co., Ltd. (XIOST) closely followed the theme, showcasing high-resolution optical remote sensing satellite models of XIOST-1 04 and XIOST-1 05, intelligent remote sensing data processing systems, and application cases in agriculture, ecology, and emergency management. The XIOST-1 constellation plan attracted significant industry attention—this constellation, through the collaborative networking of multiple hyperspectral and multimodal satellites, can achieve high-frequency global Earth observation and intelligent data analysis, providing precise remote sensing information services to countries along the Belt and Road. In the future, satellite remote sensing technology will assist in crop yield estimation, disaster early warning, and ecological protection along the Belt and Road, promoting Chinese aerospace technology to serve global sustainable development.

Technological breakthroughs and global expansion are accelerating simultaneously.

Behind this participation in the exhibition is the rapid development of CAS Xiguang Aerospace.

Satellite technical specifications upgraded:In January 2023, Xiguang Aerospace, a subsidiary of CAS-based Xiguang Aerospace, successfully launched the "Xiamen Science and Technology No. 1" Xiguang-1 03 satellite, China's first city-customized commercial hyperspectral satellite, for the Xiamen Municipal Government. This marked the successful launch of the company's first satellite in less than two years since its establishment. In August of the same year, five satellites (Xiguang-1 01, HT01-04) of the "Xiguang-1" series, independently developed by Xiguang Aerospace, were successfully launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. In November 2024, Xiguang-1 04, China's first point-source methane monitoring commercial satellite, and Xiguang-1 05, a precision agriculture satellite, were successfully launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The launches of these satellites achieved breakthroughs in several key core technologies and on-orbit applications in China, rapidly advancing the construction of the "Xiguang-1" hyperspectral remote sensing satellite constellation and gaining high recognition from all sectors of society. On May 21, 2025, at 12:05 PM, Xiguang-1 02 (Tanli) was successfully launched. To date, CAS Xi'an Aerospace has successfully launched 10 satellites into orbit, achieving multiple breakthroughs in China's commercial aerospace industry, including the fastest development speed, highest data value, and strongest application capabilities in the same period. It has established remote sensing satellite data service capabilities for agriculture, forestry, water color, carbon microscopy, and mining. Relying on the Xi'an Aerospace Base, and in conjunction with multiple upstream and downstream enterprises, the "Remote Sensing Technology New Quality Innovation Application Alliance" is accelerating the improvement of the satellite development, data application, and terminal service industry chain ecosystem.
