Western China Space Exploration: Stars and Rockets Unite for Strength | CAS Xi'an Optoelectronics Aerospace Makes its Debut at the First Western China Commercial Space Conference

On June 27th, the first Western China Commercial Aerospace Conference, themed "Exploring the West: Stars and Rockets Unite," opened in Xi'an. As a local core enterprise deeply involved in hyperspectral satellite and remote sensing information services...Commercial SpaceflightEnterprises such as CAS Xiguang Aerospace participated in the conference with their full-chain achievements in the "Xiguang Series" quantitative hyperspectral intelligent computing constellation, jointly exploring new paths for the collaborative development of commercial aerospace in western China and helping Xi'an accelerate its transformation into a "commercial aerospace capital".

This conference is the first top-level industry event in western China covering the entire chain of satellites, launch vehicles, applications, and capital. It brings together nearly a thousand representatives from government, enterprises, academia, research institutions, upstream and downstream industries, and investment organizations. The conference focuses on releasing industry policies, signing cooperation agreements, and establishing a supply-demand matching platform. It clarifies Xi'an's goal of developing a commercial aerospace industry worth 100 billion yuan by 2030 and strives to create a "thousand satellites and hundreds of rockets" landscape for western China's aerospace industry. Leveraging Xi'an's profound aerospace research foundation, the conference establishes a core platform for the exchange of aerospace resources, technological complementarity, and industrial integration in western China, opening up broad cooperation opportunities for local commercial aerospace companies.

This year's Commercial Aerospace Conference held a signing ceremony for upstream and downstream supply chain companies in the commercial aerospace industry. Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD signed cooperation agreements with several companies in the industry chain to build an integrated industrial collaboration system covering satellite development, supporting supply, launch operation and data services. This will effectively unite the forces of the western commercial aerospace industry, strengthen the company's leading role in the industry chain, and lay a solid foundation for the high-quality development of the Xi'an commercial aerospace industry cluster.

During the keynote speech session, Gu Xingfa, Academician of the International Academy of Astronautics and Chairman of the China Remote Sensing Committee, introduced the low-inclination Earth intelligent constellation—the Wuyang constellation—at this year's Commercial Space Conference.

Currently, CAS Xi'an Aerospace is advancing the assembly and testing of the first satellite in the "Wuyang Constellation" series. This satellite is a high-resolution satellite weighing 300 kg, and its main payload includes a 0.5-meter resolution remote sensing camera and three infrared cameras in the infrared band.low inclination trackIt can cover the mid-to-low latitude regions within 40 degrees north and south latitude, including economically active areas globally, and possesses high-resolution Earth observation capabilities. Compared to traditional sun-synchronous orbit satellites, its core technological advantage lies in its ability to perform multi-period imaging of the same area, breaking through the limitations of fixed observation periods, acquiring richer surface observation data, and achieving day and night imaging capabilities.

In addition, CAS Xi'an Aerospace set up a dedicated booth at this conference, showcasing the company's core technologies and industrial achievements across the entire satellite value chain, including payload customization, satellite development, constellation operation, and data application. The booth was bustling with activity and a lively atmosphere of exchange. Numerous industry experts, upstream and downstream partners, and practitioners visited the booth for consultation and in-depth discussions and exchanges on core topics such as the development trends of the commercial aerospace industry and its application in various industry scenarios. The exchange of industry experience, sharing of cutting-edge concepts, and exploration of cooperation opportunities fully demonstrated CAS Xi'an Aerospace's high profile and core influence within the industry.
