The "Xiamen Science and Technology No. 1" XIGUANG-003 satellite is the first city-customized satellite of CAS Xiguang Aerospace, and a significant milestone in the development of the entire commercial aerospace industry chain and the completion of CAS Xiguang Aerospace's 108-satellite remote sensing constellation. It is projected that by 2025, CAS Xiguang Aerospace's 108-satellite remote sensing constellation will have 30 satellites in orbit and a production capacity of 10 satellites per year. By 2030, it will form the largest hyperspectral constellation system in China, consisting of 108 satellites.

In July 2022, Xi'an Airport New City and Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD officially signed an agreement with a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan. Since its establishment in the airport area, Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD has fully leveraged the high-quality business environment of Xi'an Airport New City and the Qinchuang Original Innovation-Driven Platform, supported by the industrial chain and guaranteed by the policy chain, to continuously promote the construction of its corporate headquarters, satellite manufacturing and satellite telemetry and control center and satellite production line, and accelerate the development of core technologies such as overall satellite design, development, operation and management, software and applications. Currently, Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics CAS Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co.,LTD's corporate headquarters and satellite telemetry and control and R&D center have been put into use. With the successful launch of the first satellite, it has achieved the "airport speed" of signing, putting into operation and achieving results in the same year.
